- Sentenced Wednesday to 18 months in state prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old camper - Engaged in a sexual relationship with a camper at Boy Scouts of America Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick Township back in 2011 - Engaged in various sexual acts with the minor while working the medical tent at the camp - Skeele pleaded guilty to criminal sexual contact. This charge was tacked on to federal child porn charges in 2020. He is currently serving a federal prison sentence for distributing child sexual abuse material.

Several hundred former Boy Scouts are at risk of losing out on millions of dollars in sex abuse compensation due to paperwork errors made when voting on the organization’s $2.46 billion bankruptcy settlement.

Colin R. Schwab, 21, of South Attleboro, was sentenced to a 2 ½-year jail term which was suspended by Judge Michele Armour with probation for two years with conditions, according to court records. Schwab was an 18-year-old Eagle Scout and a senior at Tri-County Regional Vocation Technical High School when he was arrested in January 2020.

John Shores was charged with attempted sexual exploitation of a minor and attempted enticement of a minor. The judge decided to release the 54-year-old before the trial with GPS tracking. Another condition of his release was to have no contact with any children, including his family. According to court documents, he was in possession of four different cellphones, and he used the Whisper app to request child pornography or to trade pictures for child pornography. Michael Chalk, a 61-year-old former leader a Central Falls Boy Scout troop, was arraigned on first-degree sexual assault charges for allegedly abusing a boy between 1982 and 1984, the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office said Friday. The office of Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said Friday that 61-year-old Michael Chalk of Pawtucket had been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault. Between 1982 and 1984, when Chalk was a leader of a troop in Central Falls, he allegedly assaulted a male victim who was 13 or younger. The victim was a member of the troop. ...
